North Idaho's lakes offer miles of calm water for paddleboarding and kayaking. Launch from public beaches and parks around Lake Coeur d'Alene, Hayden Lake, and Lake Pend Oreille. We rent stand-up paddleboards and kayaks from our downtown shop on Sherman Avenue.

Launch from the city docks near downtown or the resort area. Easy access with parking nearby.

Sanders Beach
Located on the east side of Tubbs Hill. Quieter than downtown with a sandy beach launch.

Tubbs Hill
Paddle around the hill to explore coves and shoreline. Good route for all skill levels.

Beauty Bay
Calm water across from Higgens Point. Requires a 20-minute boat ride with your paddleboard to access.

Spokane River
Start from NIC beaches and paddle alongside the Centennial Trail. Moving water with views of downtown.

15 minutes north of Coeur d'Alene. Public beach with easy launch access. Calm water good for all skill levels.

Eagle Boat Launch & Farragut State Park
Launch south of Blackwell Point. Two to three miles to Steamboat Rock.

Garfield Bay to Green Bay
Protected water in Garfield Bay. Paddle to Green Bay for rocky beaches and quiet areas.

Sunnyside Access & Hawkins Point
Explore southern banks or paddle toward Hawkins Point and Pack River Flats.

Talache Landing
Paddle north to the public lakefront or south toward Maiden Rock. Pebble beaches for camping.

Beaver Bay (Farragut State Park)
Calm and secluded. Travel south to Idlewilde Bay for protected water.
